Ceylon Coffee
Ceylon coffee, also known as Sri Lankan coffee, is a type of Arabica coffee that originates from Sri Lanka. It has a unique taste and aroma, with a medium body and a slightly fruity profile. The coffee is grown in the high-altitude regions of Sri Lanka, where the cool climate and abundant rainfall create ideal growing conditions. Ceylon coffee was first introduced to the world in the late 1800s, but it lost its prominence in the international market after the outbreak of coffee leaf rust disease in the early 20th century. However, in recent years, the coffee industry in Sri Lanka has been revitalized, and high-quality Ceylon coffee is once again gaining recognition in the global coffee market. Today, Ceylon coffee is considered a specialty coffee, and it is highly sought after by coffee lovers around the world.
